Sit and Go's

Well the multi table tournaments didnt last long. I went on an immediate downswing of about 1k so did the proper/sensible thing and jumped over to one table sit and go's to build my bankroll back up. Here's the chart for May playing $7's-more volume coming in June.
Will definitely post at the end of each month to keep everyone in the loop of how I'm going. To give you an insight into the $7 sit and go's I'm playing-$4000 profit will move me into the top 20 in the world at these stakes as tracked by sharkscope.

Life after the DoJ

After the bullshit of April 15th with the U.S. Department of Justice (poker black friday) and our cousins now being unable to play over the pond, it obviously has repercussions on myself . Some good and some not so good. Overall on the forums it looks like the fields are softer but that is a trade off with losing all the American fish and lower guarantee's.

U.B. is now (99%) off my schedule. It's a minor tragedy really as I enjoy playing the small fields and I must confess the level of play was below that of other sites but it has to be done. At this moment in time they have put a cap on withdrawals of $250 a week, which is piss poor in my opinion and speaks volumes about the overall situation this company is in. i.e. It cannot honour all of the client funds which are on deposit should everyone try to cash out. It's a massive shame as there are many overlays everyday and when looking at the entrants you don't see like 75% of the regs as the U.S. guys have been banned from playing, so obviously the fields will be a lot weaker. Struggle to see the point in shipping a 10k tourny and it then taking a year to get your winnings. What I might end up doing is when I do see a $15 or $25 tourny with an overlay, I will deposit just enough to play that respective tourny. If I cash, then I'll withdraw as much as I can in whatever time frame. There's no incentive whatsoever of building a roll up on U.B. for the time being but the overlays are hard to ignore. I'll keep an eye the developments of U.B. and change my schedule should any good news transpire.

I'll start grinding next Monday which is the 2nd of May. I've made a tentative schedule, which will start at 0900 and I'll finish loading at 1530. This is by no means set in stone and will change as time goes by. At the moment the average buy in is $16 giving me around 220 buy ins. I'll give this a trial run with the possibility of adding some party tournies to the list in the near future.

My first Post

Well here we are. . .

I've been thinking about this for a long time and whether to blog or not, but I guess the overriding factor what it came down to, was to actually study my results more closely, and to summarise my progress for my wife in one easy to use format for her.

I wont actually start playing for another three or four weeks but as soon as I do then naturally the results will be going up on here so wish me luck!

Predominantly I'll be playing on UB (Fredo511111) and Pokerstars (Parky 32), with maybe a few tournies on Party as well (Fredo511). My bankroll will be $3500 so on UB/Party I'll use a 200 buy in requirement ($27.50) and PS will be 300 ($18). This is very conservative, especially for UB with smaller fields, but at the end of the day-if you go broke you cant win shit. Being a winning player in 2010 I don't expect to go broke, but its very comforting to have a large margin of error when the inevitable down-swing hits. Its a small price to pay of staying at lower stakes a while longer being this conservative but I'm more than happy with it. For the first month of playing I will work a minimum of five days a week. I haven't decided exactly on my schedule yet but I'll be aiming for about 20 MTT's a day.
